What will the minimum system requirements be?

"A DirectX 9 compatible GPU and, I would say, 2 GB RAM. Still need to test it. I still need to test and optimize everything"
April 18th, 2013: "Currently the game requires about 700MB RAM at full settings."

Down below are a list of directX9 compatiable GPU (Graphics) Chipsets. If your card is not listed down below that it probably can't run the game. DirectX10+ cards are NOT listed here and WILL run the game.

The GPU (Graphics) will need at leaste 128mb of assigned memory to the GPU. Any lower and the game will probably be unplayable.

There are cards listed below that will run DX9 but will NOT run Cubeworld. Please make sure it meets the Ram (128mb+), Shader specifications (2.0 TO BE SAFE - may run lower) and has the latest drivers. For any worries or concerns feel free to ask below http://cubeworldforu..._DIR#/smile.png

Intel

Drivers are at: http://www.intel.com...c_chip_graphics
Intel cards and onboard graphics chips often suffer from a problem which causes a planar sheet of triangular artifacts to appear on part of the screen when viewing from an angle (i.e. not looking directly down). Note that that's the only time the chip's 3D texture mapping functionality is used.
The problem gets worse the lower the viewing angle (the more you're looking toward the "horizon" instead of straight down), and it gets worse the closer you are to the 3D surface.
Either backing away (higher altitude from the earth surface) or looking more directly straight down will always fix the problem. Rotating the view (right-button drag horizontal) causes the corruption to change and sometimes go away.
Even at its worst, there's always some combination of JUST the right altitude, tilt, and rotation near the one you want to get a good image. That's real good news for taking screen snapshots. But even if you find the "good spot", moving the mouse just a little will cause corruption again.
Turning off all layers but the one your viewing minimizes it.
The cards on this list that say 'ok' may also have this problem.
Screwing with "AGP aperature" in the BIOS doesn't help.
Side note: increasing AGP aperature improves performance for ALL AGP cards! It causes system memory to be used as texture memory, but only when the card runs out of onboard memory, so you can leave it at 256M all the time.
Geeky note: The problem seems to be user clipping planes. There is a near one and a far one that you need to define for 3D to work properly.
Imagine a pyramid with the point cut off by a plane, now imagine the small flat part is your computer screen, connected to the World Wind camera - the near clipping plane looking at the Earth, the large flat base of the pyramid should be behind the earth -the far clipping plane.
With Intel chips there is an issue with defining a plane that is REALLY far away (like as big as the Earth) it doesnt affect things when you are looking at things straight on, perpendicular to the surface of the earth.
All this is information I gleaned off of discussions on the DIRECTX-DEV mailing list.

A single core will be able to run the game, however it will need to be a Intel Pentium + series, higher or AMD equivliant. clocked at around 2.4 to 3.8ghz but will run slow, a dual core is best for a stable 30+ FPS.

Simply because of the way the world will be generating ofternly and as a result your CPU and GPU will be caculating and rendering almost all the time.

Laptops, Tablets?
If your laptop has 2gb of ddr3 ram or higher, the onboard graphics will be DX9 and your laptop will be able to run it. But most DDR3 laptops now also have GPU cards and not onboard graphics. Any lower in specs and the laptop may have trouble or run slowly.

Most high powered Tablets will run the game if supported. The Razer and Windows 8 Tablets (when released= will be able to run the game (depending on which windows 8 tablet you purchase).

Your system is a bit overkill for such a game, if you have 8gb of ram you probably have an I3 - Core 2 Quad or higher (AMD Equivilant). So you will be able to run it well with no lag.

"Core 2" is the Intel Core 2 series of Dual/Quad Core CPUs etc. So in basic english i said a Quad Core or higher.

Mind the language, and no one knows exactly when it's coming out, not even Wollay. It should come out sometime soon (Probably by December)

is it the GT 520/M?

the GT 520/m is a direct X 11 GPU, so yeah that will work.

GT520 is a PC GPU
GT520M is a Laptop GPU it seems.

Both of those will work.

I hate to be a bother, but I am really no good at this GPU stuff. Would a ATI Radeon HD 5450 be well enough to run this game? I don't know why, but it just doesn't seem to like running most of the games I play, like TF2 or Counter-Strike, or even Borderlands or Minecraft.

But maybe it is just because I have a 28-inch TV for a monitor. . . I wouldn't be surprised if that is what is causing my graphical lag!

Quick Edit: This GPU says it has approximately 2806 MB of memory, if that helps, and it's running on a 1280 x 768 display mode.
