So as everyone who does know and talk to me oftern, i have a deep passion for horror and indie games. One of my all time most favourite games has been Amnesia: The Dark Descent. this horror game for the first 2 times playing scared me shitless and still remains to be one of todays most sold (full) indie games.

Anyway today i heard that Frictional Games (developers of Amnesia: the dark decent)and thechineseroom (developer / writer of Dear Esther)have joined togeather to make the next Amnesia game: Amnesia: A Machine For Pigs.

The year is 1899. Wealthy industrialist Oswald Mandus has returned home from a disastrous expedition to Mexico, which has ended in tragedy. Wracked by fever, haunted by dreams of a dark machine, he recovers consciousness in his own bed, with no idea of how much time has passed since his last memory. As he struggles to his feet, somewhere beneath him, an engine splutters, coughs, roars into life...

although the title even for me sounds odd and slightly un-attracting the overall game still does. Each time fictional games releases a new title i always know it will surpass their previous one. Which they have done and as a result becoming a big indie developer.



I highly recomend you check out the interview and the main website.

As said in the interview they plan to surpass the scares and horror that was in Amnesia: TDD and i look forward too it.

With Mass Effect 3, SSX, XRebirth and Amnesia coming out this year... i doubt i'll buy any other game for a while

AH, I heard about this! Cant wait.
I LOVE indie games, they are one of the only genres left that I feel the developers make games with the player in mind. They take into account what they like and what they want to see so that it makes the community of followers feel like they have been a part of the development in some way. Much like these forums, I know that a lot of the ideas a tweeted to Wollay.

This is not scary for me when you play 2 years of it.... hehe... what am I talking about!?! I am scared of walking around corners now, and corridors.... dear got halp me.

Did you play the expansion? that game freaked me out! especially when you had to run through the water and close all the doors behind you, then figure out how to open the next ones before the monster smashed through the ones you closed. 3-4 times i paused the game and quit as i was like "Fuck This"

Amnesia is a great game,have you heard of a game called Penumdra though?It's kind of the same concept (Not story,gameplay)Except not in the past,you have a flashlight !...Still scary as fuck though...

It's made by the same guys, so yeah
I believe there are 3 versions of Penumbra. I think two are expansions though for the original.

I did that once, and i was playing it for an hour, so i was really into it. i didn't hear anyone else come into my room. and out of nowhere my brother just slightly touched me. i freaked out and had a spaz attack, i slapped him and myself before settling down and breathing heavily. i quit the game then as i was pretty raged.
