Eagle/Bird:

Helpful:
Could grab items in the area and drop them on your head, but you can toggle what you want it to pick up. Like select only items you need for a quest or no enemy weapons. (Area-Looting).
Give you a higher jump when selecting the skill the next time you jump itll be slighty higher, its like a double jump really. Also as it levels (if added) the higher the level the longer it can carry you for. (Animation of bird holding onto your back and flying and then dropping you because it cant hold your weight)
Offense:
A classical claw that can do a small amount of damage.
Defence:
Drops rocks to stun an on the enemy that can stun them, but it has a 20% chance of making contact with the enemy you are attacking. (Stunning)
Other:
Has very low health.
Can fly so not many attacks can reach it.

Lizard/Chameleon:

Helpful:
Increase speed of climbing.
Offense:
Has a damage of 1 from a bite and has a chance of doing poison damage for a certain amount of seconds.
Defence:
Can turn you and it invisible for a certain amount of time. (Depends on level if they are added)
Other:

Has less health than other animals not that its weak.

Wolf:

Helpful:
Can dig up (the currency) and random items.
Can smell enemies from a distance and gives them a small outline. It has a long effect, but the cooldown is about double the amount of time.
Offense:
Can use a basic Claw and bite attack.
Defence:
Scare the enemy making it run away for a certain amount of seconds. (It can howl to scare them away, but the wolf cannot be doing anything to use the howl ability)

Skunk:

Turtle/Tortoise:

Helpful:

Distracts enemies by jumping in the way of their attacks and can shield itself inside it's shell so that the player can successfully do a "strong attack that needs charging etc".
Defence:
Hides inside its shell causing enemies to do minimal damage. The player can pick it up and use it as a temporary shield.
Offence:
Can bite onto an enemy and stick there causing the enemy to move slower than it usually would, you can repeatedly press two buttons to shake it off.
Other:

Slow but good for tanking damage.
Has alot of health.

Squirrel:

Can collect items in the area, just like the Eagle/Bird. (Area-Looting)
Defence:
Can climb and hide up a nearby tree and HP (Health) is recovered 25-50% quicker.
Offence:
Sharp teeth that bite the enemy.
Can also (Whilst in a tree) can throw acorns at a nearby enemy. If an enemy hits the tree if has a chance of the squirrel falling out of it's tree.

Donkey:

Helpful:
Can carry items for you around in a satchel that can be received from the donkey anywhere out of combat. (Area-Looting)
Defence:
More your defense than it's own. If you put a potion inside it's satchel it can use it on you in the middle of combat.
Offence:
If an enemy is really close the donkey can turn around and kick an enemy knocking it back and dealing a far amount of damage, but has quite a long cooldown between each devastating kick the donkey does.

Spider:

Helpful:
Can place webs on walls that can speed up climbing.
Defence:
Shoots a web on the ground, when the enemy walks over is slowed down.
Offence:
If an enemy is really close the spider it can use a special bite that can paralyze, poison, stun or blind the enemy. Each bite has a 25% chance of all the types of attacks, it has a long cooldown and a 80% chance of hitting.

I'm sure your ideas will gain some attention, with all honesty they need a bit of work but it's a good starter. :)

Side note:Just thought I should mention this so you guys don't get disappointed, the majority of the Cube World Forum member jump on in 4-6 hours. Right now is probably the quietest time. Thought I should mention that.

K so I am very critisizing on EVERY idea (I used to develop games, guess that kind stuck :/ )

Hawk:

-Anyways, the problem with auto-loot from the eagle is, your inv can get full with crap you don't want. In wollay's vids we already see him not picking up ANY of the enemy weapons cause they just aren't as good as a personal upgraded one, this might be solved via just clicking on the items still but just a larger area where you can click or maybe some sort of editable filter so he only picks certain items.
-Breaking enemy armor seems a little bit OP especially when you are in pvp. Imagine you with high level armor you spend ages on upgrading and then it gets broken versus a lvl 1 new guy with a hawk, seems rage feeding and unfair :/ The classic attack is alright though (and the break armor could be a temp debuff for like 10 sec or so )
-Dropping rocks to stun sounds cool but there should either be a high miss chance or a long cooldown. (Again, else it is unfair)
-Low health seems fine as long as it just retreats when defeated and not dies (I would cry D: ) As for not reachable to attacks, seems a bit OP but since there already are birds in cw the way they work right now is when they attack the fly lower so you can hit them then, that seems good enough with low health :P

Chameleon:

-The climbin thing is nice but I don't entirly get how it would work, does he like pull you up (most of the wall climbing ones tend to be small and I doubt they could lift you :P)
-Bites seems alright but poison again should be temp debuff and low chance of hitting or long cooldown else to OP
-The defence is nice :P But it doesn't really help player, maybe give player speedboost or something? (as lizards are fast)

Fox:

-Love the smell enemy part, very usefull so you can't get sneaked up on by rogues. As for digging up random stuff. Either VERY long cooldown or only low value items(would make it pretty useless, or just certain hard to find spots(and only once in that spot per player)
-Claw and bite is good
-Scare enemy's is nice but not really a foxes thing(as foxes are often the scared ones) So maybe replace the entire fox with wolves (wolves are cooler anyways :D lol)

Skunk:

-I would think the skunk would spray enemies to make them flee/neutral not spray you?? :/ Also, if they become neutral they need to be hostile when u hit them (else you get way to easy kils) But I still think making them flee is better
-offence is fine
-defence is fine(but again, cooldown or very low hit chance)

Turtle:

-distract is cool but how would it work in pvp? (maybe only let it work PvE because else it would seem kind of unfair to me not sure)
-Defence is good but doesn't help player, maybe let the player use his shell as a shield (temp) for a defencive buff?
-offence, seems alright even though turtles can bite (it doesnt hurt alot because of no teeth but it is hard to let them go of you so maybe he can get himself *stuck* in the enemy to slow them

Overall some good ideas that need a little tunning, I hope you don't mind what I said :P

As for pets in general, I hate to have pets *perma die* so maybe when they have 0 hp (or near 0), make them run away and unhittable, and you can heal them only after the fight with some food or something. I would cry if I lose a pet friend D:

Also, come up with ideas how to get them/ tame them.

And on a very last note:

Can you cut the post you replied to, please? :). Nice ideas on all these animals. Pretty sure horses and dogs/wolves have already been implemented. One of the videos shows a dog/wolf, and some screen shots of horses... like the background of this website for example :D. Although, it is mainly a bunch of images put together with some major skillage :D.

A signature that does not include a dragon :D.

Thank you for your thought on the ideas. I know that wolves/dogs have been added, but we having seen much of what they can do yet, these ideas can help with what they can do and for the horses... There are no horse ideas above unless you were just telling the viewers of the page that WollayFX has kindly given the future players of the game. Major skillage is it? Isn't that what COD players say to each other? xD

A dog is already ingame but as far as whe have seen doesn't do anything.
Besides, wolves are way more awesome :P
As for horses, these already are ingame but are more a mount then a pet.

Yea from origin :P Shame indeed, but it got revived again. Don't know if it is still active today though :P

First of all, if anyone's arguments are invalid it's yours. Second, 4 or so things are still too much. You'd have a lot of advantages over people who don't use pets and so you would be forced to use them. The advantage of something that automatically finds stuff for you and whatnot would easily outweigh any balancing like having to feed it.
It should be simple and not too annoying to deal with, especially PvP. You don't want to have to remember 25 different pets and what they all do just so you know what your opponent is capable of.
