I was thinking that it would be nice ( and most likely implemented later on if not on the actual release ) is to have a class system. each class would have their own skills etc

start off with something like a novice ( noob character name ) and choose from a basic mage, swordsman, archer, and thief.

then the second stage for a mage would something like an arcane mage or a alchemist. the swords man could become a sword master or a spear man ( idk about that idea ). the archer of course would become a sniper or hunter. and the thief would become a rouge or assassin.

and maybe even after that a 3 set of classes?
idk. post if you have any ideas on how this would work.

Great thread OP
Ahh, this seems like one of those MMORPG level up systems.
I'd love to see this in Cube World! It improves the replay value SO much because of all the options that are served to you
on a silver platter.
3 sets of classes would be much more simpler, but it would not be as fun as a class tree.

I've suggested this before, but I never get attention to it.... I'll set up a link if you want to see.
Also I believe the class system name is called Specializations.

Personally I don't want to be restricted by classes. If I want to make my character proficient in as many weapons and skills as possible instead of focusing on just one, I will do so.

I don't want to have to make a new character if I want to play a different weapon style, especially for archers. There will just be those certain times when archers are at such a disadvantage. (Like in closed spaces/dungeons)

I would like a way for one character to be able to level up in each weapon category, a more Disgaea-esque gameplay. Maybe specific characters could have more potential for one weapon set than others, but I would like to be able to be decent in all weapons and skills.
