Besides Cube World of course. ;)
I haven't really tried maple story, I probably won't until I'm convinced it's actually a decent game. Or find a private server.
I just really hate Aeria and Nexon.
I've tried games like Ragnarok and Grand Fantasia. boring. <_<

And I don't really know about LoL or Ultima. I heard it's good, but I really don't play MMORPGs unless I'm hooked, like with CubeWorld. So, give me some suggestions and discuss MMORPGs here. :D

Maple story is good once you the passed the beginning.
It's really addictive.
I stopped playing because I had this weird OCD problem with it.
Be an explorer though.
Everything else is overpowered.
Except cannoneers...
I like cannoneers...

There is also a steampunk MMORPG coming out called "City of Steam".

Spiral Knights, which is free on Steam? The energy system in that game can be a little cheap (you basically get ~2 hours of gameplay every 24 hours), but if you're a casual player it's decent enough. The gameplay is like a mix of Zelda: A Link to the Past and traditional RPG's.

Most of the games stated above aren't actually MMORPG's... but I guess the only one was MapleStory, it is pretty good until you get the point where you're just grinding and grinding and grinding for hours upon hours on end between 1 quest and the next.

About LoL, which is a MOBA, not MMORPG, I've played a similar game, Rise of Immortals, and that was fantastic, so I do advise you try one of the free MOBA's out there.

By the way, Cube World is more of an RPG that you can go online to, at best it's an MORPG.

seems interesting, to say the least. I just really hope it isn't the MMORPG standard "click on an enemy, watch an animation"

RaiderZ is pretty fun. You'll need to find a closed beta key to play at the moment. It'll be F2P once it's full released.

World of Warcraft, Best MMO i will probably ever play. Played it Since Vanilla and re-subbing back when MOP comes out. First few levels are a bit dull, but nothing beats endgame content. No MMO beats WoW in anyway. I wouldn't say that just an opinion either.

We have world events for WoW PVP, we have Blizzcon, We have events for high level guilds to do live raid events. I actually watched paragon do it's live Ragnaros 25man HC run.

ALSO: Cubeworld is NOT an MMO, it's a game that has multiplayer but it's not an MMO. Just like Minecraft is not an MMO. Get 10,000 players on one MC server at anyone time then maybe you can call it an MMO.

Well lets look at it from a media and professional gamer point of view, leagues and other gamer events which pits gamers against each other.

1) WoW has more players then anyother MMO, this is still true today. No other MMO has this many active players.
2) WoW is played at a lot of the major gaming events. Such as the SC2, CSS and other similar events. WoW has the largest events of this scale.
3) WoW has more sponsored and professional gamers (who make a living from it) then anyother MMO. I don't as many events for say GW as i do WoW. GW has events but they don't compare in size as say WoW
4) Sales, WoW has sold more then anyother MMO and holds a lot of records for sales and subscriptions.
5) WoW is known for having some of the hardest End game content known to the MMO World. Such as HC Ragnaros or HC Lichking, Such events where widely streamed and show-cased within the gaming world.
6) WoW has more sponsors in general, i haven't seen one razer sponsored GW or other MMO team. Mostly SC, WOW etc. But feel free to correct me on that.
7) WoW has the biggest lore of all other ACTIVE (not currently dieing) MMO, coming from 3 RTS games and their exspansions, the lore as a result is huge. There are plenty of novels and side lore which makes the overall universe of WoW larger then anyother ACTIVE MMO. APART from Starwars, that hands down has more lore then anything i've ever seen. Hands down... but it's dieing.

Do i need to go on, WoW holds a lot of records and in general is at more events and more looked at then other MMOs, GW is a great MMO imo, i've played that for a long time as well. GW2 looks to be amazing and i don't doubt it. But in some aspects it won't beat WoW in anytime soon.

One of the downsides too WoW is that it's been going on for so long, the dynamics have become slighlt stale, however MOP addresses that a fair amount IMO:

If you look at sales, content, etc you'll still find WoW is probably the best MMO because of how many things it has achieved and continues to pull off. However other MMOs are getting better, GW2 being the one in mind atm.

Just for poops and giggles, me and my guild doing HC shannox in Firelands: (not me recording, i am tanking the ads and making them leave the spear range to reset stacks.) which btw isn't easy.

In my opinion, WoW was pretty much the best MMORPG out there. But it is extremely outdated now, the combat is boring, and the quests are not like quests, more like shopping lists. From what I understand the raiding at highest level can be really fun, but for someone who's playing for the first time, the route to the high level raiding is long and tedious.

/facepalm really?

If we look at sports and say the team with the most skilled players and the most trophies are currently the best or leading on said scoreboard, the same can and is being done with gaming. WoW has more world records then anyother MMO and still has the largest active user-base. If you actually read my post above it gives you examples of how WoW is still leading over other MMOs from purely a STATS perspective. I never said opinionated things such as WoW has the best endgame because i can't say that as a fact. That's opinionated. However i said things like WoW has some of the hardest end game content, which it does. NO OTHER MMO has gotten 400,000 + people to attend in person and view live online, an event where 25 players from ONE guild attempts to get the worlds first HC kill of Ragnaros. More sponsors such as Razer tend to sponsor people from WoW, Why? Because WoW is looked at and used at professional gaming events, blizzcon and lan events. There is such a huge market there. WoW has more sponsored players then anyother MMO to this degree, things like these, stats like these which make it the best MMO out there. Personal preferences and desires are entirely removed, it is purely a stats related argument. Same can be done between COD and BF if desired, the one that holds the more records, sales, active players etc can be argued the best game of the two FROM a stats perspective. However when it comes to preferances, desires out of games etc, then that's when it becomes about opinions. I honestly don't know how you could of be as ignorant and blind to make that comment without reading what i actually wrote and what my argument was...

EDIT:
here is the funny part, a lot of MMOs that come out get labeled "The WoW Killer" everyone assumes finally something will surpass WoW. What actually happens? after a few months it starts to decline, it begins to die and then it dies and goes F2P while WoW still has members willingly paying a subscription fee, plus buying every expansion that comes out.

WoW did recently lose 1.1 million subscribers, but still remains number one. With MOP coming out they will easily gain those subscriptions back. People do unsubscribe at the end of each expansion as they've already done that tier and wait for the new one to come out. That's pretty much always been the case.

So from a stats point of view, WoW is number one, from a personal preference... it's out there.

To be honest for me the combat is still one of the better ones out there, it's very free roam and you don't have to pause, stay still while casting this huge animation like in some MMOs which do irritate me.

I think they fixed a lot of that in Cataclysm personally, i leveled a new char to see the new starting zones and it was some pretty good questing. Fast though as i got to level 85 within a week.

All I'm going to say is (and this is just my opinion) I don't really consider combat that involves just clicking/pressing a button while standing there at a targeted enemy and not having to deal with hit boxes good combat. Maybe interesting combat would be a better word...hmm.

Mostly because I'm spoiled by MH combat. :P

Hit box combat has its advantages but also it's downsides, in MMOs you can lag from CPU, GPU or internet depending on the size. In such cases lag will make that system only benefit those with good Systems and Connections. It does give it more skill, but unless you have some serious equipment in an MMO environment it can be a big bummer.

As long as an MMO can make up for that, then combat for me is alright. But it needs to be fast and challenging combat. Not like, you start casting this huge animation heavily ability which takes a good 6 seconds, to do moderate damage and in those 6 seconds in reality, someone could easily go from behind with a dagger and "do it from behind". I like games where you need to use macros and fast reflexes and thankfully a hand full of MMORPGs provide that. I haven't played an MMORG or an MMOFPS before. Planetside 2 will be the first one and i look forward too it.

I wouldn't say they are limited anymore, but in some cases the game design wouldn't make sense and be enjoyable given certain factors. For example, during a boss fight, everyone aims for the head, and depending on the size it logically should be able to one hit you.
