Yeah, I have to say, I think that Notch burnt out after the halloween patch, but Jeb has been doing an absolutely fantastic job of adding new content to the game

They are working way much more harder and faster then Notch ever has! But they have to add writable book! They have to!

You shouldn't need to change a game so much after release though. One thing I'm glad about is the fact there isn't constant updates to the actual game, just pre-releases.

Minecraft will always be a good game, as long as people ate creative. I didn't really like the addition of hunger in to MC, but there have also been good updates like pistons. I am wondering what the point of mob eggs are.

If you are in creative.. You want to have access to all mobs..

its for making custom maps. IF you put a mob egg in a dispenser it will create a mob when you activate it. more reliable than mob spawners

Oh, I see. Haven't messed with any of new stuff yet, I've mostly been playing on a scenario server. (I play on a mc server where the entire world is sand, but breaking a block of sand gives you a random item, like a block of wood, or a peice of coal) It's really pretty neat, the server is also an optional rp server, and I like to rp.

I had an awesome time with Minecraft when it first came out, perhaps a few months, but it really didn't have major lasting appeal to me.

If I played more multiplayer, on a very vanilla server, with a few close friends, I'm sure I would have played longer. =)

I need some help with GroupManager, Seems it's only letting OPs do essential commands, I would deop Donna and she couldnt /sethome, but when I did she could /sethome, I have the essentials.sethome under permissions under the group she was in, but it wouldn't work, anyone know why? Also after I set iconomy.access she could use/money so it seems to only be commandbook/essentials commands, but both plug-ins run fine, PLEASE HELP!?! xD

I believe that Minecraft lost its "oompf" back in the 1.8 update. It's still an enjoyable game but I feel that they (developers) lost sight of Minecraft's nature. This is a completely debatable subject due to the fact that Minecraft is basically a "build and do whatever" game. But the dragons, the end realm, stuff like that took Minecraft off its course in my opinion.

I've found that while Notch is awesome for spending how much time that he did making Minecraft, he turned it into a money deal. I fail to see his passion any longer and all I see now is a front. A public image that he portrays himself as so he's loved by everyone and continues to sell Minecraft. As a strong critique of games and developers efforts, I've noticed that Notch always releases Minecraft incomplete. I think he needs to bug test more before releasing something to the public that ends up being a disaster. I would have given him more leniency on this when he was 100% indie, but he's got a pretty good staff team now and I know they can handle figuring out mostly all of the at least major bugs before releasing content.

What I mean by incomplete, aside from the massive bugs, is that the Nether (IMO) still doesn't give me a hell-like world feeling at all. The newest update with the Blaze's, Magma Cubes and dungeons was more annoying than inspiring.


All in all, I feel that Minecraft will only get stranger and more exploitable. There's too much drama with Minecraft!

I used to play Minecraft. What stopped me from playing was that the majority of the community is composed of haters and trolls and that the support system doesnt seem to exist.

Yea i Mostly Play Minecraft in groups of maximum 10 people or it get's to chaotic
I however play very much singleplayr in the last few days because i found some awesome mod's:
Tale of Kingdoms + battlegear+ Mocreatures = Pure epicness i tried to install Millinaire too but it didn't work for some Reason :/

You know, when I started redstone stuff, one of the things I really was determined to make, but never did, was a button that toggles on/off, like a lever.

I never managed it, and now it took me about 1 minute to build it whereof about 10 seconds was thought.
