IRC chat is a core feature of any good online community, and now Cube World Forum has its very own channel for all of us to blabber away on 24/7! For those of you who are famililar with IRC, we're #cubeworld on irc.esper.net. For the rest of you, keep that connection information in mind, get yourself a copy of xchat and work your way through this tutorial.

If all this sounds too complicated, rest assured we'll be adding an entirely automatic online chat client to the site as soon as possible. We look forward to getting to know you all better on IRC!

just a little tip don't use Xchat because you have to pay after 30 day, but there another version of it
and the only difference is that it is compiled by another person and it is free for ever

Xchat is just the IRC clinet, every IRC has it's own server

There's quite a few available methods to connect to a server via IRC. If any of you are having difficulties just Google "IRC client compatible with *insert system name here*" I use ChatZilla, for firefox. Also, glad we've got an official one now.

Hi. Sorry I don't speak Portuguese so I let good handle translating your question.

IRC is always running, so there shouldn't be any downtime. I can not, however, predict when people will be active, or how many. You'll just have to log in to see!

What browser do you use? I use firefox, if you do as well google "ChatZilla".

Alternatively you can google other IRC clients mentioned in this thread or visit the links. Anyway, if you want to use a client then download one and type /attach irc.esper.net then wait a moment and type in /join #cubeworld

Im using Mirc the program, so in the normal way i go to Quakenet and then go to #cubeworld, is it still Quakenet? or something else?

We are not on quakenet, nor have we ever been. That isn't to say quakenet doesn't have a cubeworld channel, it just isn't affiliated with us.
