Wait, how do you do it in W7?

WinKey > any letter > Enter

so if you want to use Paint, you hit WinKey > "pa" > Enter.

That's not a feature unique to Windows 8, is it? I haven't used it myself, but the boot up time does sound impressive.

Yeah, it's been there since at least Win7, but it's the default preferred way of starting up programs in Win8 and I have no idea how I never thought about doing it in Win7.

The boot-up time is 8-ish seconds on my school laptop, which was recently reset to factory settings and is pretty lightweight. I don't image it should take much longer for your average rig, though. A very big difference from Win7.

*Restarts for update*

*Update has failed restarting computer*

*Repeat*

That's just one issue I encountered.

That's a shame. I haven't encountered any of that, but like I said above, I've only used it for a few weeks on my school laptop.

My issue with Windows 8 wasn't gaming related, it played all my games perfectly fine. It was just such a pain the arse to use and would just piss me off over and over again.

Interesting. I found using Win8 to be very fluid and not all that hard. "Windows Key > type in the first letter(s) of the program you want to use" is super addictive and I've started doing it on my main Win7 rig. The 8-second boot-up-time and a generally faster and more responsive OS is just bonus.

First of all, ban evasion is a no-no. Because of this, 48 additional hours have been added to your timed suspension. You are going to have to wait this ban out.

Secondly, no.
We brand ourselves as a family-friendly forum and we want to keep NSFW content to an absolute minimum. If you want to post porn, gore or whatever you consider "adult stuff", you have Reddit, 4chan and thousands of other sites that allow that sort of content at your disposal.

Finally, biological age does not determine maturity. You are a prime example of this.

Windows 8...

*shudders*

And can't be jealous of Win8. The win7 is still better for gaming.

Have you two actually tried Win8?
